About Me

I am naturally good with animals and have been that way all my life.

For my family and friends, it is no surprise that I went into the pet-care business. I grew up in Missoula, Montana in a loving family helping to provide care for a menagerie of both large and small animals, from dogs, cats, reptiles, rats, and fish to horses, goats, rabbits, chickens and more. At an early age, my fascination with animals turned practical as well, leading to a life-long study of animals.

Life-Long Learning

I am a passionate and committed lifelong learner in everything animals. My animal studies include formal and informal learning experiences in both personal and professional settings with topics ranging from the habits and habitats of wild animals to nutrition, handling, and health care of pets and domestic animals.

Through shadowing with several veterinarians, I was exposed to a variety of medical procedures and practices, from routine check-ups to emergency care where I learned to care for minor wounds, administer oral medicines, and give injections. This hands-on experience was invaluable and offered me a practical understanding of veterinary knowledge and application in real-time.

I also gathered a great deal of practical horse experience from years of participation in Pony Club (USPC) and the side job of taking care of other people's furry family members. I'm familiar with the traits of most dog, cat, and horse breeds, and have experience with many different types.

I believe that the learning journey never ends and each day presents opportunities for us to follow our curiosities and passions.

It'sAll About the Animal

I am patient and consistent, with a gentle, confident approach that animals respond to positively. Before pouring on the affection, I allow them space to adjust to me and then to build trust at their own pace. I have a good understanding of animal behavior; I'm good at reading animal body language; and I even have a touch of animal intuition.

Critter Sitter of Aiken

I started my pet sitting career through Rover in 2023. It became clear to me very quickly that this would be my career path. After jumping through all the necessary hoops, I official opened my own business in 2024.

Needless to say, this is the ideal business for me as I love spending time with animals. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with my client's pets and find it very rewarding when they are happy to see me. I feel grateful for being able to have a career doing what I love.

When not caring for other people’s pets, I spend time with my own pet family (currently one dog, three cats, two horses, a scorpion, and a millipede) and work on my art—painting, drawing, and sculpting.
