Loving Care When You Can't Be There
A Drop-In visit can include feeding, fresh water, a potty break, a walk, exercise, turn-out, blanketing, playtime, snuggle time, and of course, attention and love. Drop-ins are often customized to address particular needs, such to provide some attention, a potty break, and medication to an older dog; playtime and a walk for a puppy, or a bandage change for a horse.
In addition, scheduling drop-in visits for when you are out of town may be an alternative to in-home pet sitting for some animals. When considering this, please note that Critter Sitter recommends at a minimum, one visit per day for cats; two visits per day for dogs, plus additional visits when animals are young, old, or have special needs. It is usually better to schedule day sitting or overnight sitting for dogs, horses, and a larger number of animals needing care.
